Uniserve Win in FTA Awards

by | Dec 14, 2018

Uniserve Group have once again been announced as winners at a major awards ceremony after collecting the prize of Logistics Partner of the Year at the FTA Logistics Awards on Thursday.

The trophy was collected by Uniserve HR Director and Supply Chain Managing Director – Paul Stone, at the Royal Lancaster Hotel ceremony and was awarded for the ongoing development of our apprenticeship program, which led to the creation of the world’s first supply chain degree apprenticeship.

This impressive industry accolade follows just four weeks after Paul – pictured above right with Supply Chain Academy Director, Alex Mortimer – collected the winners trophy for Employer of the Year at the Global Freight Awards.

FTA is one of the biggest business groups in the UK, supporting, shaping and standing up for efficient logistics. Their membership includes the road, rail, sea and air freight industries, as well as the buyers of freight services such as retailers and manufacturers.

The FTA awards celebrate supply chain leadership and excellence and recognise leaders who have made a significant contribution to the industry, either as individuals or as businesses.

Uniserve have internally developed our own apprenticeship programme and are proud to have had some of our own people amongst the first professionals enrolled to the supply chain degree apprenticeship this year.

Uniserve Group, supported by the Supply Chain Academy and Leeds Trinity University, chaired the employer’s group that have driven and created the standard for the supply chain qualification. The trailblazer group included some of the UK’s most prominent supply chain leaders, as well as many SME’s, universities, colleges and supply chain professional bodies.

The Supply Chain Academy are currently enrolling for January 2019 and beyond, for further information please check out their Degree Apprenticeship page HERE, or contact Alex Mortimer on 01708 259450 or am@supplychainacademy.org.uk.
